Two new 30-minute online learning modules have been developed by NPS MedicineWise and the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) that aim to improve both the quality and quantity of adverse event reporting relating to medicines, vaccines and medical devices to the TGA.

The two organisation believe health professionals, including pharmacists, are among those best placed to provide high-quality adverse event reports because of their expertise and direct contact with patients. These reports are critical, says TGA, to ensuring it can respond to potential threats to patient safety.

Goodbye from Stephen Greenwood : 02/12/2014 :

Today's article for AusPharm is my last as I have decided to pull back from writing about Pharmacy issues so as to devote more time to radio announcing and presenting with Brisbane’s major community radio station 4MBS Classic FM.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of contributing to AusPharm as part of the editorial team over the past several years. Mark Dunn has been tremendous to work with and his untiring enthusiasm and inspiration has made the online journal an influential and timely political and professional voice and source of independent commentary that the professional pharmacy organisations for good reason are unable to match.
