Fancy yourself as a photographer? AusPharm regularly publishes photographs submitted by our members and would love to have a look at what you have to offer. Ideally, photos should have a pharmacy aspect to them but this is not mandatory. To submit a photo for consideration please email Mark Dunn.

Niche pharmacy :: Liz O'Neill : 14/08/2015 :

I'm currently in the Czech Republic and visiting Karlovy Vary, a famous spa town noted for its healing thermal springs and wellness.

Came upon this pharmacy which only sells cannabis based products.

Apparently it is a panacea for many ills according to the advertising board  Perhaps it is a sign of what we may be doing in Oz in the future.

First in best dressed!

AusPharm buried in snow :: Mark Dunn : 07/08/2015 :

‘Listers may have seen media reports during the week that snow fell to sea level in Tasmania.

It was indeed the heaviest snowfall in Tassie since 1986, when there was 6 inches of snow in the Hobart CBD.

This was the view from the AusPharm office on Tuesday morning.

Ladakh :: Wendy Baneth : 17/07/2015 :

Ladakh is an high altitude desert in farthest North Indian, between  Pakistan and China and Tibet.

We have packed Diamox,  dexamethasone and nifedipine on our overly anxious doctor's orders. This is mainly because we are so remote and there is no pharmacy and there is no doctor except in Leh.

The  Indian Army has a massive presence here, and soldiers are placed here for 2years. It is their centre of their high altitude training, the highest camp being 6000m. We are having no problems with altitude except for a bit of breathlessness from climbing too fast. Have any really intrepid high altitude climbers any pearls of wisdom?

E-cigarette shop :: Graeme Holloway : 10/07/2015 :

I took this photo on the main street of Finchley, a northern suburb of London in late May, while in the UK competing in the world masters real tennis championships.

I was very surprised to see this shop dedicated entirely to e-cigarettes.

Three little girls :: Tony Lee : 26/06/2015 :

A few years back I did a 4 week trip to Tibet with 1 week in Sichuan. The aim was to drive across Tibet and drop into Pakistan NA via the Hunza. We went close but the Chinese in Tibet proved too big an obstacle at the very last leg - too many special permits and bakish and too little time to wait and sort it out. We were able to drop some stock in Bangkok for lads from Lahore to take through as it was too risky through Tibet. Still a great journey and rather more difficult than I foresaw. Lost many kilos.

Prescriptions Accurately Dispensed :: Kristine Hall : 19/06/2015 :

On a recent trip to Swan Hill, Victoria, I visited the Pioneer Settlement, an open-air museum set in the 1850`s. This is J.H.Barker Chemist, situated on the main street.

I have learnt some chemists in the day were not so accurate. Friendly societies were apparently started in the 1840`s partly in response to the fact that many chemists commonly adulterated their drugs.
